Welcome to Be Smart + Be Safe and thank you for taking this timely and important course. In this course you will learn how to best handle an interaction with police at a traffic stop. Be Smart + Be Safe is comprised of a Video, an Online Test and a Certificate of Completion.
Program Goal
There are 50,000 traffic stops every day in the Unites States. The goal of Be Smart + Be Safe is to provide you with education about how to properly interact with police at a traffic stop so that this routine encounter does not escalate into a crisis.
Step 1 - Watch this Video
Watch the Be Smart + Be Safe Video on your phone or computer. This animated video is 15 minutes long and will provide you with knowledge about the traffic stop process and the confidence to interact safely with law enforcement.
Step 2 -Take the Test
After you have watched the video, click the button below and you will be directed to take the test. The test has 25 questions will take about 15 minutes. You must take the test at one sitting.
Step 3 - Download your Certificate of Completion
After you pass the test, the system will generate a Certificate of Completion. This Certificate provides verification that you have passed the Be Smart Be + Safe program.

Remember, you cannot control how an officer will handle an interaction with you. However, you can control how you handle the interaction. If both you and the officer maintain a courteous attitude and stay calm, a potentially stressful situation will proceed quickly and legally.
